Anji Lum, the vocalist for cult electronic-shoegaze duo Love Spirals Downwards shares a selection of female fronted trip hop, neo-soul, downtempo and drum & bass from the late ‘90s to the present.

Much like my long-running show The Chillcast, I built the energy of this set gradually, moving from chilled downtempo and trip-hop toward high-energy drum and bass. My focus was entirely on the mood: smoky, tender, and undeniably feminine. The tracklist follows a lyrical thread of searching, surrender, and vulnerability, balanced by a sense of warmth, softness, and forward motion.
